Requirements to open a Community Account with Alberta's Credit Union

  • Must have a minimum of 2 signers on the account and operate as “2 to sign”
  • Minutes of the meeting must be dated and signed by President and clearly state:
    • Name of Account to be opened
    • Signer’s names and positions - including who is to be removed or added to existing accounts
  • Where minutes of the meeting are not available, a letter from the Coach/Manager stating the team name and signers authorities, along with supporting staff roster showing appointed positions will suffice

Signers must have/provide:

  • 2 pieces of government issued ID (one must be photo)
  • Valid address (no PO Box #’s), phone number, date of birth, employer and occupation

The community account opening can take up to an hour to complete. For this reason, we recommend providing the branch with this complete information prior to setting up an appointment. Our Financial Services Officer will then contact you to sign documentation at a time more convenient for yourself.
