Retail Account Manager

 An exciting opportunity exists, for an experienced Retail Account Manager to join Beaumont Credit Union located in Beaumont, Alberta (10 minutes southof the City of Edmonton).  Beaumont Credit Union is a full service open bond Credit Union serving Beaumont and surrounding area residents - assets $222 million, loans $192 million, deposits $201 million, staff of 33.

Technical Know How

Sales
  • Disciplined approach to sales and sales management tools and techniques.
Credit Services
  • Grant within established limits or recommend for approval mortgage, consumer and other loan applications such as line of credits and overdrafts.
  • Maximize the members financial health by recommending and advising on the best credit solution to meet their needs. 
  • Conduct credit investigations, security inspections and searches as required; provide direction to Administrative staff on releases of security on paid out loans; interpret loan reports and identify further action required to address problem areas as pending delinquency.
  • Provide direction to the sales associate on disbursement of credits once approvals have been obtained; ensure profitability of loan through application of loan rates, service charges and overdue interest; conduct interviews, analyze and assess credit worthiness, complete applications and related documents for new loans, renewals, loan payment extensions, alternatives and substitutions of security.
Portfolio Management
  • Establish, develop and maintain regular member contact by providing valuable timely and pro-active advice and recommendations;
  • Grow portfolio by networking with existing members, referrals and potential members; to members on loan services and deposit product offered.  Use financial knowledge to effectively position products and services;
  • achieve or exceed annual portfolio targets;
  • review and analyze delinquent accounts and initiate collection action; follow-up on overdrawn accounts and maintain a systematic collection procedure.  Document actions and follow-up. 

Must Have skills and abilties
  • Proven track record for sales.
  • One year post-secondary education required.
  • Comfort and ability towork with a high level of detail/accuracy.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Four to six years of job-related/industry experience.
  • Completion of CUIC General Studies Program preferred or working towards (may be waived depending upon position).
  • A combination of post-secondary education and work experience will be considered.
